Danny, Dave & Sarah

What they order: They all vary a little, but they're typical orders are: mocha (Danny), "large in a medium" mocha - which we promise makes sense to us (Dave), and banana mocha (Sarah). There are random orders of biscuits and gravy, poppyseed muffins, grilled pb sandwiches, and breakfast casserole from time to time also.
What we love about them: The conversations and, of course, the help (sometimes teamed up with Google) with the New York Times Crossword puzzle.
What they love about us: It's her own, personal internet cafe (Danny), coffee, friends, and conversations (Dave), and the coffee and grilled pb&j (Sarah).

Bridget

What she orders: It varies, but lately she seems to have become hooked on small french vanilla lattes.
What we love about her: Besides the fact that she's one of Kara's good friends (so clearly she's awesome), we love that she always has a smile on her face and she always puts a smile on OUR faces.
What she loves about us: She says the owner is really cool (Kara didn't even pay her to say that), and she loves the conversation.

JD

What he orders: When it comes to lattes, the true question is, what doesn't JD order?! Never have we met such a creative orderer. He's one of two customers who has ever tried a latte with all 22 syrup flavors at once (Kara tried it, too; she wouldn't recommend it!), and he constantly comes up with flavor combos that we wouldn't even think of. Almond and Creme de Menthe was near the top of the list the last time he was in town.
What we love about them: Lots! He's our longest distance customer (he's currently serving our country in Iraq), and we love that he makes sure to visit us every time he's back in Iowa. We also love his conversations and his fearlessness in syrup combinations.
What he loves about us: The quotes on the walls and Kara. (Awww. See we why love him?)

Bob

What he orders: A medium coffee with two shots of espresso, with a few ice cubes if the coffee has recently been made (he likes to drink his coffee, not sip it, ya' know).
What we love about him: Even though he insists that he's shy, we've never seen him meet a stranger. If Bob is in the house, he's the unofficial greeter, and he does it with a smile. Oh, and he makes the Little Mermaid mug look GOOD.

Lori

What she orders: A sugar free hazelnut latte.
What we love about her: We're not sure Lori has ever actually been in a bad mood before. If she has, we haven't seen it here. She's always smiling and happy, and that's even before we give her caffeine.
What she loves about us: “When I walk in Kara's door, I can just "Be There". It is a soft, quiet place where I have had the best chats with friends. Prayers are shared. Hope is given. Joy is found. Coffee is enjoyed.”

Laurel

What she orders: It depends on the day, but either black coffee or an Americano. She's one of those hardcore people. Also, she occasionally orders breakfast casserole with sausage gravy on top, and any of us who have also tried that now blame her for the wonderfulness that it is (because we're pretty sure it's suuuper low fat and now our casserole feels incomplete without it).
What we love about her: Besides the gravy on the casserole (it's a love/hate thing, ya know?), we love that she brings up random presents (coffee mugs, board games, or even lends some of us occasional library books checked out in her name). Also, we're in awe of her organizational skills.
What she loves about us: Our willingness to meet customers' requests with smiles on our faces.
